Ahane National School Parent Association held their AGM on October 17th and elected the following officers

Congratulations to our boys and girls football teams who both reached the finals of these competitions. The boys'team won the final by the narrowest of margins with a one point win in a very tightly and evenly contested match against Castleconnell.
The girls' team gave a great display of football in what was also a very close match and were unlucky to lose by two points to Caherelly.
Well Done to the boys and the girls' teams.
The pupils were treated to a visit from Limerick Senior Hurlers Dan Morrissey, Tom Morrissey and Ciarán Barry. These three members of the Limerick hurling panel brought the Mackey Cup and the Liam Mc Carthy Cup to show the pupils in the school. The players met the pupils in the school hall. There was a short question and answer session with the players with pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class asking the players questions on a wide range of topics.
Ahane National School were delighted with the success of the inaugural School Fashion Show.
Congratulations to our Boys and Girls' Mini 7s teams that participated in this competition. Both teams played very competitive matches. The girls have qualified for the final of this competition to be played in December. The boys were unlucky to miss out on a place in the final.
Congratulations to our Girls Football team who have qualified for the final of this competition. The girls played and won three matches to qualify for the final. We wish them the very best of luck in the final.

Mr. Micheál O'Shea retired from the staff of Ahane National School on September 30th 2022. Mr. O'Shea's final day started with a special breakfast in the staffroom.
Pupils from Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Classes travelled to Thurles to take part in the Primary Schools Cross Country.
