Ahane National School are celebrating Friendship February to support the work of the Special Olympics.
Friendship February is a fun chance where pupils will be encouraged to take part in acts of Friendship across the month while raising funds for Special Olympics Ireland.
The parental complaints procedure was revised and agreed by the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation and the management bodies of primary schools, It is designed to provide an open and clearly defined process to facilitate parents/legal guardians in raising concerns about their own child/children in an agreed, fair and transparent manner.
Ahane National School, Scoil Atháin, will commemorate 200 years of education with a bicentennial week of celebrations during 23-27th October 2023.

Pupils from Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Classes travelled by bus to Thurles to participate in the Primary Schools Cross Country Athletics. Pupils trained after school to prepare for this event.
In September pupils from Fourth Class represented the school in the Mini 7s football competition for boys and girls. The football teams trained after school once a week with Mr. Ryan to prepare for these matches.
On 31st August 2023 Ahane National School welcomed a new group of Junior Infant pupils .
The Board of Management ratified the Admissions Policy at a meeting on 28th september 2023. The Board also ratified the Annual Admissions Notice for September 2024 and the Enrolment Application Form. Enrolment for September 2024 is open from October 2nd 2023.
