Congratulations to the boys who participated in the Mini 7s Hurling Competition. The team won their first two matches and were unlucky to be beaten in the final in extra time.
Congratulations to Sixth Class pupils Fionn Balzar, Aidan Donnelly, Michael Hickey, Harry Kett and Shane Moloughney who were part of the UL Bohemians Rugby that won the Youths U13 North Munster Cup.
Congratulations to Laura Minihan who was selected to play on the Limerick Primary Games Camogie team who played at half time in the Limerick v Waterford match.
Congratulations to the Ahane GAA Camogie team who won the Division C Féile competition. Well done to past pupils Isabelle Collins, Aoife Holland,Grace Dillon, Niamh Lunn , Gráinne Lunn and Sixth Class pupil Laura Minihan.
Congratulations to the East Limerick Football team who won the Sarsfield Cup. A special congratulations to Ahane NS pupils Shane Moloughney and Oisin Kennedy who were members of this team. East Limerick completed the double this year winning both the Mackey Cup and the Sarsfield Cup. East Limerick last won the double in 1993.
Congratulations to our Fourth and Fifth Class pupils on their ESB Science Blast Award. The pupils in Mr. O'Connor's room explored "What happens if you try to power a model car with food instead of batteries" The pupils used lemons as a source of power for cars and discovered that the reaction of the acid in the lemons causes the car to move.
Congratulations to Sixth Class pupils Shane Moloughney and Oisín Kennedy on their selection to the East Limerick Mackey Cup team .East Limerick played South Limerick in the semi-final of the Mackey Cup on March 29th. The East Limerick team progressed to the final against West Limerick which was played in Bruff on March 31st. East Limerick emerged victorious to be crowned Mackey Cup Champions retaining the trophy which was last played for in 2019 with Darren Collopy Ahane NS captaining the team.
