We had great celebrations in Ahane National School from March 1 - 15 to mark Seachtain na Gaeilge. Our Sixth Class pupils prepared and served bricfeasta of pancóga agus ispíní . Pupils used their cúpla focail to request their bricfeasta - Ba mhaith liom pancóga / Ba mhaith liom ispiní.
Ms. Tierney organised a Cic fada , a Trath na gCeist, Aerobics as Gaeilge agus Céilí Mór. Friday 15th March was a Lá Glas to mark Lá le Pádraig.
Pupils in Second Class received the Sacrament of Reconciliation on February 29th in St. Patrick's Church, Ahane.
Ahane National School celebrated Friendship February with a visit from local Olympic athlete Sarah Lavin.
Sarah’s visit to Ahane National School took place as the school celebrated the importance of friendship in February.
‘Friendship February’ sees the pupils take part in acts of friendship across the month while raising funds for Special Olympics Ireland.
Parents are invited to a very important "Parenting in the Digital Age" talk in the Castle Oaks Hotel on Thursday 22nd February at 7:30pm.
This event has been organised in conjunction with the other two Primary Schools in the parish (Castleconnell N.S. and Lisnagry N.S.) It is open to all parents of children up to 13 years of age in the parish.
This talk is free of chardge to all parents attending. The cost of the talk is being covered by the Board of Managements of Ahane N.S., Castleconnell N.S., and Lisnagry N.S.
Third and Fourth Class boys enjoyed their day out at the Indoor Hurling. It was the first opportunity for our Third Class boys to represent our school in a hurling match. Maith sibh buachaillí. Thank you too to Mr. Ryan for coaching this team.
