Board of Management Agreed Reports 2019 - 2020

The Board of Management has published the Ahane National School Policy Statement on Covid -19.
The Department of Education and Skills have published the Covid -19 Response Plan for the safe and sustainable reopening of Primary and Special Schools.

The Board of Management reviewed and ratified the Acceptable Use Policy for Internet activities. The review included the addition of Distance Learning and the use of Seesaw, Class Dojo and Zoom to support the continuity of education during the Covid - 19 School Closure.
The Board of Management completed the Review of the Child Safeguarding Statement. The Board has also reviewed the Child Safeguarding Risk Assessment. The Notification of the Review of the Child Safeguarding Statement will be available on the school website and will be sent to the Parent Association.
The Board of Management completed the required Annual Review of the Code of Behaviour and Anti - Bullying Policy at a Board meeting on May 26th 2020. The reviewed documents are available on the website. The Board is issuing the notification to School Personnel and Parent Association of the completed review.
The Girls Football team were presented with their medals at Cruinniu in the School Hall.
Five pupils received individual medal in the Cross Country event. The individual medal winners were Sadhb Donnelly 5th in Under 8 Girls, Harry Kett 3rd in Under 9 Boys, Patrick Lonergan 5th in Under 9 Boys, Shane Moloughney 6th in Under 10 Boys and Abi O'Mahony 6th in Under 12 Girls.
