The Leaf Project in Third Class

Third Class children visited Curragh Chase as part of their involvement in the Leaf Project. The Leaf Project is run by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce. The Learning About Forests ( Leaf) Programme is designed for schools and encourages environmental education through awareness raising among students and teachers. The programme reconnects children with their environment through interactive learning and field trips. Coillte's Curragh Chase is a fantastic natural resource including woodlands,parklands and lakes which provide a rich habitat for a diverse range of animals and plants.
